Half of all 7-16 year olds can access the Internet in their own room, up from two in five last year (child wise August 2010 ) but with this increase in freedom to explore the internet comes the risks.

Cyber bullying, sexual awareness at a younger age and the risk of web cams and on line abuse is an ever growing concern for parents of this generation.

But how do we protect our children without restricting development in this technological era? The introduction of cyber bullying workshops and sex education being open to the younger years have allowed this often closed subject to be discussed in the open, allowing concerns to the aired and resolutions and safe guides to be suggested.

Workshops can be developed to suite the audience they are intended for. New subject matters are not introduced unless relevant to the age group and sensitive subjects are handled with patience and compassion.
